Meghan Nugent is an associate with SpencePC. She has extensive experience assisting clients in both transactional and litigation matters of all natures. The focus of her practice is Intellectual Property. She also assists the firm’s clients in the prosecution of trademarks – including trademark clearance, registration, and enforcement.
Ms. Nugent received her law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2013, with honors in Intellectual Property, Cyberlaw, and Creativity. While at UDSL she was the Chief Justice of the school’s Moot Court Program and was herself an octofinalist in the Gibbons Federal Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition at Seton Hall University. Ms. Nugent also received CALI awards for highest class grade in Entertainment Law, Patent Litigation, and Civil Trial Advocacy. While a law student, Ms. Nugent interned in the Intellectual Property department of Avery Dennison Corporation and under the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer at Teradata Corporation.
Ms. Nugent graduated Cum Laude in 2009 from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. While at Le Moyne, she was a four-year Division II All-Conference swimmer, 2008-2009 captain of the Women’s Swimming and Diving team, and actively involved in the athletic community as an executive board member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Prior to joining SpencePC, Ms. Nugent spent several years at a boutique litigation firm where she assisted clients in intellectual Property and Technology transactions and litigation.
