Justin T. Cain is a registered patent attorney with SpencePC. His practice spans all areas of intellectual property and complex litigation, with a focus on serving tech firms. Mr. Cain has provided legal advice on matters involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and the right of publicity for businesses in the fields of computer science, electronics, mechanics, biotechnology, and chemistry.
Mr. Cain earned his law degree from the John Marshall Law School, where he received a certificate of specialization in intellectual property. While in law school, Mr. Cain served as an Articles Editor for the Review of Intellectual Property Law. Mr. Cain also holds an undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Iowa.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Cain was an industrial chemist. He performed research and development into industrial laundry products and corrosion inhibition of heat transfer systems. His responsibilities included visiting client facilities to troubleshoot technical issues related to production and scalability.
